GREAT BARTON'S NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN - 

Following a public consultation St Edmundsbury Borough Council have formally designated the area for Gt Barton's Neighbourhood Plan.  There is a dedicated page on the West Suffolk website called 'Neighbourhood Planning in Gt Barton ' . Copies of the design statement,  final area map and responses to the consultation can be seen here 

The Neighbourhood Plan now  has a dedicated email gtbartonnp@gmail.com and a website page (under the 'our village' tab)

ON-LINE REPORTING OF HIGHWAYS PROBLEMS

Highways problems such as potholes, pavement defects, street lights not working etc can now be reported directly to Suffolk County Council through their on-line reporting system.

ANGLIA LEVEL CROSSINGS CONSULTATION

A public exhibition of Network Rail's preferred options for the level crossing changes in the Bury St Edmunds area will be held on  Thursday 16th September at The Centre, St Johns Street, Bury St Edmunds. Further details can be found here. 

The consultation will run from 15th September to 6th October 2016.

NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN TRANSPORT MEETING

Residents of Gt Barton who are interested in the Neighbourhood Plan are invited to attend the trasport meeting and have the opportunity to get involved in it's development.  This meeting will take the form of a discussion to develope a transport plan for Gt Barton, including road, rail, cycle paths, bridleways and footpaths.  For further information click here

LAUNCH OF NEW NATIONAL POWER CUT PHONELINE '105'

This new number will allow people to report or get information about power cuts, as well as report damage to electricity power lines or substations, which could put themselves or someone else in danger.  More information can be found on their website by clicking here
